The core of this collection, now housed at The Art Institute of Chicago, comprises 116 works in a wide range of media, from drawings and collages to paintings and sculptures. The thirty-three artists represented in the Bergman Collection and featured in this book constitute a veritable who's who of the Surrealist movement.
